WiSpry currently offers two single-chip Tunable Impedance Matching solutions for cellular applications. Both devices share the proven RF-matching circuitry topology capable of correcting up to 20:1 VSWR of any phase over the full cellular frequency range. Power handling, linearity and Q-values are optimized for operation in 2G, 3G and 4G/LTE modes. As with every WiSpry device, they are supported with feature-driven software and evaluation kits to make your evaluation and design process simple and short.
WS2017 is intended for platforms that use SPI serial interface for RF front-end control. It can be programmed to use either 3-wire (bi-directional data line) or 4 –wire (separate MOSI/MISO lines).

WS2018 features a standardized MIPI RFFE serial interface that can be shared with other front-end components. The MIPI RFFE implementation includes advances features such as group trigger and programmable power mode control.

WiSpry understands the stringent requirement you must meet for low power consumption. After all, one of the purposes of using a tuner is to save power! Therefore we have designed our tuners to sip current even during full operation with an active current consumption of only 70 uA. To further reduce power consumption, a power save mode is available for use during system sleep periods.

They are also fast-- fast enough to tune your 2G, 3G and LTE connections for the correct frequency and loading with plenty of time to spare.
Easy to Evaluate and Model
WS2017 and WS2018 evaluation kits are shipping. All WiSpry evaluation kits come complete with software, drivers, calibration board data, PCB reference design files, and application notes to help you get going fast. ADS simulation models, customized software, and general application support such as design and layout review are also available upon request. The interface board and software supports MIPI RFFE as well as different modes of SPI interfaces.

WiSpry evaluation kits are the most comprehensive and easy to use kits available for control of tunable RF components.
Kits will ship with a choice of daughter board depending on what device is being evaluated. The interface board can be used to interface with any WiSpry device and is connected via a standard USB port to a PC. The interface board can also be used without a PC with an external power supply or battery power. RF connectors are standard 3.5 mm female SMA and de-embedding data files are available for the connector & trace sections.
